I chose Buffalo Commons Charter School because I was drawn to the school’s strong focus on community and the personal success of every student.

My Story
My name is Madison Foley, and I’m so excited to join the team! I earned my bachelor’s degree in Educational Studies from Kent State University, where I was also a proud member of the Kent State cheerleading team, and my master’s degree in Childhood Education from Buffalo State University. Outside the classroom, I’m a cheerleading coach with Buffalo Envy Allstars and a proud mom to my energetic 2-year-old son, Madden. I have always dreamt of being a teacher, and I’m beyond excited to take on this new opportunity!
What Brings Me Joy
What brings me joy is spending time with my 2-year-old son, Madden. I love taking him to new places and seeing the world through his eyes—Disney is definitely one of our favorites! I’m also super passionate about cheerleading and love coaching, especially watching athletes grow, hit their goals, and gain confidence in themselves.
What I'm Good At
I think one of my strengths is connecting with students and athletes on a personal level. I’m good at creating a warm, nurturing environment where kids feel safe, supported, and truly welcome. Building those relationships helps them not only grow in their skills but also believe in themselves.
What the World Needs
I believe the world needs more kindness, understanding, and patience. When we take the time to truly listen, support one another, and celebrate our differences, we create a space where everyone feels valued and capable of making a positive impact.
Why Commons?
I chose Buffalo Commons Charter School because I was drawn to the school’s strong focus on community and the personal success of every student. I have had the opportunity to work in a co-teaching classroom and absolutely loved the collaborative environment it created. I’m excited to bring that same teamwork and shared passion for student growth to my co-taught classroom this year!
